Before we get too far into this delicious alcoholic beverage, let’s chat about harvesting fruit. These tips to help you harvest your fruit will ensure you have plenty of fruit to fill this yummy red wine sangria with!
Tips and Tools for Harvesting Fruit
Shake the Limb
Be sure to shake the limb of your fruit plants until the fruit falls off. You can do this with other people holding a tarp to capture the fallen ripe fruit from your fruit trees.
Consider a Fruit Picker Basket
This is a gadget that I’ve never seen before and I must own it! The fruit picker basket helps you reach the fruit on the top of your tree easily.
Twist and Pull
Last, but not least, remember to twist and pull your fruit off the fruit tree. You’ll find that some fruits such as pomegranates don’t come off that tree easily. Twisting the fruit in your hand and slightly pulling it off will help you harvest your fruit better.
Now that you know some tips to harvest your fruit, it’s time to learn how to make this fruit-filled red wine sangria! This is an excellent beverage option for a cool summer night or breezy fall evening.
Serve this flavorful red wine sangria using your recently harvest fruit or fruit you purchased at the local farmers market to support local farmers!
